Dreams & Visions Day 5

Good Morning, just coming into day five of daily reflections of dreams and visions and we're coming to the point in our reflections where we see one of the, probably one of the hard, this is one of the hardest points on your journey with dreams and visions.

And it says in it says in James 1, 2 to 3, it says this, it says, Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. And, when you're on a journey with a dream and a vision you come to this point where you face you seem to get stuck.

There seems to be things coming against you and it feels so easy just to give up. And I think on all trips like that's when we have a choice. We or you either giving to the pressure and we've then push aside our dreams and the visions that we have and we decide not to pursue it anymore.

But that brings with it a sense of regret, a sense of maybe you feel like this is the end of it, everything, and you never feel fulfilled for the rest of your life. And I think that's really important to remember because we, with all journeys, we do go through this period of time where we think, oh, I just can't do it anymore.

And and I think this is the important point because Through that period of time, there comes a time when God strengthens you in those things. And I just want to bring three things that maybe help you through that period of time to help you get through it. And the first point is that we should be finding joy.

Trying to focus our minds on finding joy through the area of difficulty that we've gone. In other words, we're not to look at the burdens and how they are pressuring us. But through those, these trials is say to yourself, what are the opportunities that I can get out of this? And you'd be surprised when you sit down in the morning and you just write down, you can write down in two columns, the first column is what are the barriers.

And then second column is think about those and then to put down what are the opportunities that come out of that period of time. And then focusing on those things that are the opportunities and then begin to pursue joy in those things. The second point is trust in God. Some of the things we try to do is to trust in our own strength, to trust we can do it.

We can get through this. We're going to be able to do this. If I work hard enough, I'll get there. If I put enough time into this, I will get there. But the one thing we forget to do sometimes and it's common to human beings everywhere is we rely so much on our own strength and individuality that we forget that we've got a God.

And the third thing is we can get, it can be like you're on a long walk and you come up to this really muddy area and you've got to get through, you've got to walk through the muddy area. Now if it's too muddy, we can get stuck. And that's what happens with a lot of a lot of the goals towards dreams and visions.

Sometimes it gets so difficult that we end up being stuck and and we can't live on. But what I'm saying to you is that we should then have more determination to press on through those periods of time. Because as we press forward, we then become more determined. And as we become more determined. we start to then see God working through those.

So this morning's been quite a difficult subject to talk about, but it's one that's really important because we're all going to face that as we go through our dreams and visions. We're all going to face this journey that we are on. We're going to face times when we feel like giving up. But what I would say to you this morning is if you're in a position where you have got stuck or you've given up or you're, you, you feel like you're not achieving what you're meant to be achieving, I would say, go back and reflect on where you stopped and then say to yourself, write those things down and look for the opportunities and then to press on with determination because God is on your side and he is with you all the time.

Until tomorrow, I shall see you then.
